Accept Popular Cryptocurrencies Using PaymentSITE Hosted Checkout
Interest in cryptocurrency payments is surging among customers. A PYMNTS survey revealed last year that 46 million U.S. consumers would consider paying for retail purchases using cryptocurrencies. And considering that 70% of shoppers would prefer shopping at a merchant that provides their preferred payment method, accepting cryptocurrency is becoming a necessity.
We’re excited to announce that Cardknox has made it easy for merchants to adapt to these trends with secure and customer-friendly cryptocurrency processing that eliminates the risks associated with market volatility. Our PaymentSITE hosted checkout solution now features the ability for customers to pay using their cryptowallet. Here’s a quick rundown of common questions and answers.
What is PaymentSITE?
PaymentSITE is our online payment form that can be used as a standalone webpage or embedded into an existing website to accept payments. With its customizable template and easy setup process, PaymentSITE caters to a wide range of payment collection needs — such as e-commerce checkout, invoicing, subscription enrollments, and more.
What cryptocurrencies do we support?
Cardknox supports Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), USD Coin (USDC), and Ethereum (ETH).
Will I need a crypto wallet?
Merchants that choose to accept cryptocurrencies do not need to have any advanced knowledge or possess a crypto wallet.
How does it work?
Once enabled, the merchant’s PaymentSITE form displays a simple pay button alongside the standard credit card fields and mobile wallet checkout options. After clicking on the pay button, the customer’s crypto wallet opens and they are prompted to select the cryptocurrency they’d like to pay with. The whole process takes just a few clicks and is completed in less than a minute!
How are merchants funded?
The cryptocurrency payment is converted in U.S. dollars to simplify fund disbursements and reduce the risk burden.
